Yanni Hufnagel is the founder, director, and president of Lemon Perfect, an establishment that manufactures a lemon water drink with no sugar additives. The BevNET Best of 2019 Awards recognized this as the best new product. Most people think Lemon Perfect is one of the market’s most exciting, innovative, and scalable emerging liquid refreshments. Mr. Hufnagel had served in various institutions as a coach and assistant coach.
Yanni Hufnagel joined the Vanderbilt Commodores in May 2013 as an assistant men’s team basketball coach. His services helped Vanderbilt be ranked in the 29th position in the 2014 recruiting session. He left this institution after one year, and the California Golden Bears hired him as a coaching staff member. His presence on this basketball team helped the team qualify for the NCAA Tournament in 2016. Yanni then joined the men’s basketball team at the University of Nevada (Wolf Pack), where he worked for one year before leaving to establish Lemon Perfect.
In January 2020, American R&B and pop star Beyonce posted a photo on Instagram with a Lemon Perfect drink. This photo went viral, and Mr. Hufnagel learned that Beyonce was a Lemon Perfect fan. After some time, Hufnagel and Beyonce formed a partnership to enhance the Lemon Perfect brand. Other investors, including Melitas Ventures, Trousdale Ventures, NNS Capital, Beechwood Capital, and Goat, have invested $31 million alongside Series A in Lemon Perfect.
Beyonce Knowles-Carter says she enjoys drinks with zero sugar, such as Dragon Fruit Mango from Lemon Perfect. She thinks it is a reason to invest in Lemon Perfect because it offers a healthy drink. Yanni Hufnagel says his company will use the financing to help increase the Lemon Perfect brand’s distribution points by the end of 2022. Lemon Perfect accumulated significant revenue in 2021, and Hufnagel believes it will have more than 100% growth in its revenue in 2022.
