 Marwan Kheireddine On The Importance Of Youth In Entrepreneurship

Who is Marwan Kheireddine? He is the CEO of Al Mawarid Bank and an entrepreneur in Lebanon whose objective is to empower the younger business leaders as he has always valued the youth of Lebanon. Marwan has taught financial courses at the American University of Beirut. Many students have passed through his classes, and some continue to maintain a connection with him.

Kheireddine runs into his former students at places like the airport, and they tell him the impact he has made in their lives. He says that it is satisfying to see the positive influence he makes on others, and he is rewarded by the gratitude they express to him for something that had a beneficial effect on them.

Marwan Kheireddine is a board member of the American University of Beirut, where he worked for ten years helping the institution make academic programs. He is also a custodian for Beirut’s stock exchange and the American Community School Beirut.

Marwan is one of the first members of the board of directors for an international non-governmental institution, the Lebanon chapter of Endeavor, which is focused on promoting entrepreneurship in Lebanon. He developed and launched an initiative known as YOUTHinc. to invest in a new generation of startups that will boost the economy of Lebanon and support entrepreneurs.

In 2001, Marwan Kheireddine worked with Richard Branson and set up the first Virgin Megastore, which created employment for Lebanon residents, including the youth. He helped promote his country’s pop culture by assisting in organizing concerts, including one that featured the singer Bryan Adams of “Summer of ’69.” Kheireddine also served as a state minister in the government of Lebanon from 2011-2014, where he strongly supported strengthening the country’s private sector.

The entrepreneur is betting on the next generation of Lebanon. He sees technology as a key to success as it advances at a rate that has not been seen before. Kheireddine is optimistic and greatly believes in the future of Lebanon.
