Launch House Announces House Capital – Its Venture Arm

We at Launch House are excited to announce our newest initiative, House Capital – our venture arm for investments. This new arm will fund small, early-stage companies in the Bay Area and beyond with a focus on healthcare and education. These two sectors have been underserved in recent years due to inflating prices from larger organizations. By providing seed funding for startups in these spaces, we can positively impact the world while supporting entrepreneurs and innovators doing incredible work. The fund focuses explicitly on backing companies in the the House community, as we are fortunate to have a strong network of experts and mentors.

House Capital is a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage companies focusing on healthcare and education. They fund startups through their Limited Partnership and have been able to do this because of the House, which allows them to get close to the founders of these companies. The firm also offers marketing, sales, and HR services to its portfolio companies. It is a community of entrepreneurs interested in solving problems by bringing together leaders and experts who have experience moving early-stage companies through their entire lifecycle. Through a focus on people, Launch House provides mentorship, networking, funding support programs, as well as co-working spaces.

According to Michael Houck, GP at House Capital, Launch House is a community for entrepreneurs. They work closely with the founders who join their community and have established deep relationships. In many cases, Houck says, the founders of companies who come to Launch House and stay with them long enough are given a chance to get funded by House Capital.

House Capital is also uniquely made up of two underlying fund structures – a fund’s limited partnership and a segregated portfolio company – so it can assist its members in untraditional ways, such as providing additional services to companies like marketing, sales, or HR services.
